CARIBOU – Rickey Lee Fortin, 46, died unexpectedly Nov. 27, 2007, in Caribou, as the result of an automobile accident. He was born Feb. 16, 1961, in Caribou, the son of Ludger and Shirley M. (Stubbs) Fortin. He was educated in the Caribou school system. Rickey was a hard worker all his life. He was employed at Maine Bag Co. and Warren Anderson. He was recently employed for McNeal’s Trucking, Caribou. Rickey was a loving and devoted husband and father to his family. He was an avid outdoorsman loving to hunt, fish, pick fiddleheads and anything to do with the outdoors, you could find Rickey. He married Terry Lynn (Patterson), April 7, 2001. Surviving, in addition to his mother, Shirley and his wife, Terry, both of Caribou; are two sons, Allen M. Patterson and his fianc?e, Anika Thorpe, of Springhill, Fla., and Jamie L. Patterson and his fianc?e, Maria Cruz Grimaldo, of Oakland, Calif.; two brothers, Richard Fortin and Philip Fortin, both of Caribou; one stepgrandson, Elihu; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews; one great-niece, one great-nephew, and many cousins and great-cousins. He was predeceased by his father; and a sister, April Mae. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Mockler Funeral Home 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at the chapel of Mockler Funeral Home with Father David Raymond, associate pastor of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, officiating.
