CARIBOU – Rina “Maide” Albert, 85, wife of the late Leo E. Albert died Oct. 9, 2003, at Bangor. She was born Sept. 5, 1918, in Grand Isle, the daughter of Denis and Elodie (Sinclair) Beaulieu. Mrs. Albert was a longtime member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where she was also a member of the Ladies of St. Anne and the Catholic Golden Age. She was also a member of Caribou RSVP and was the coordinator for Lyndon Heights Bingo. “Maide” was an avid Red Sox and Celtics fan and never missed watching her favorite teams play. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Cindy Albert of Presque Isle and Alan and Joan Albert of Caribou; three daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and Paul Barnes of Caribou, Karen and Marty Campbell of Holden and Jane and John Sjostedt of Stockholm; one brother, Dan Beaulieu of Sabattus; one sister, Theresa Gardiner of Hartford, Conn.; her grandchildren, Neil, Gwen and Jill Saucier, Todd Albert, Simon and Sam Sjostedt, Travis and Troy Barnes, Tyler, Hillary and Austin Albert, and Matthew and Krista Albert; her great grandchildren, Evelyn, Hailie and Isabelle Saucier, Shelby Barnes and Brevin Barnes; a special brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Claude and Cecile Guerrette of Washburn; many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Albert was predeceased by her husband, Leo, in 1957; and by three brothers, Val, Everett and Morris Beaulieu; and one sister, Pricilla Levesque. Mrs. Albert’s family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. Kristine Sanden, Dr. Bonnie Gleason, Dr. Dan Harrigan, Cary Medical Center Nursing, ER, and Laboratory Staff, EMMC Grant 6 Nursing Staff, The Caribou Fire and Ambulance Dept. and the EMMC Dialysis Unit for their kindness, care and compassion shown to Maide during her illness. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003, from the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Fr. David Raymond officiating in a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in the Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery.
