ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Ralph O. Rideout, 94, of Treasure Island, Fla., formerly of St. Petersburg, Fla., died Monday, July 17, 2006, at Tandem Health Care of St. Petersburg, Fla. Born in Oakfield, he moved to Hollywood Fla. in 1973 and to St. Petersburg, Fla. in 1978. With his brother, he was the owner of Rideout Brothers General Merchandise in Oakfield. He retired from Shop and Save, Co. of Brewer. He was an avid gardener and loved to grow fruit trees. Survivors include his sons, Ralph Rideout Jr. of Homosassa, Fla. and Robert Rideout of Apopka, Fla.; daughters, Janice Carr of Los Altos, Calif. and Jeanne Gilleland of Treasure Island, Fla.; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5750 49th St. North, St. Petersburg, Fla.
