DEDHAM – Rita J. (Howard) Morse, 74, wife of the late Edwin E. Morse, passed away peacefully Nov. 5, 2007, surrounded by her beloved family, at her home. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and an avid crafter. She spent many years creating works of art in quilts, yarn and needlecraft that will long be treasured by her family and friends. Throughout the last several years, she crocheted 100s of lap blanket afghans, which she donated to local nursing homes. She is survived by her children, Scarlett (Morse) Hanson and her husband, Michael, of South Berwick, Lorelei Morse and her companion, Carl Bishop, of Bangor, Adam Morse of Dedham, and Amanda Morse and her companion, Mark Lambert, of Holden; grandchildren, Jennifer Seed of Gorham, George Folster of Wilmington, N.C., Logan Grant of Hudson, and Kristen Morse of Dedham; one great-granddaughter, Delaney Seed of Gorham; three sisters, Priscilla Smith of Holden, Doris Brown of Brewer and Shirley Carver of Patten; several nieces and nephews. A service will be held 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at First Assembly of God, 614 Finson Road, Bangor.
