FORT FAIRFIELD – Rita May Murphy, 83, passed away Friday, Sept. 8, 2006, at a Houlton health care facility. She was born April 26, 1923, in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Fredrick “Duck” and Alice (Beaulieu) Theriault. She attended Fort Fairfield schools and was employed for much of her life as a housekeeper, until her retirement. In addition to her parents, Rita was predeceased by six brothers, Kenneth, Philip, Moses, James “Dick,” Fredrick Jr. “Gup” and Alfred Theriault; and one sister, Pauline Theriault. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Rita Jean and Berkley Thompson of Fort Fairfield; two grandchildren, Katrina Williams of Perth-Andover, New Brunswick, and Elaine Trombley of Fort Fairfield, five great-grand-children, Nathan Searles of Presque Isle, Jason Searles of Fort Fairfield, Amanda Gallagher and Amy McDougal, both of Perth-Andover, New Brunswick, and Matthew Trombley of Fort Fairfield; five great-great-grandchildren, Amiah and Connor Gallagher, both of Perth-Andover, New Bruns-wick, Anastasia and Bryan Searles, Matthew Trombley Jr., all of Presque Isle; several nieces and nephews. In keeping with Rita’s wishes, there will be no services. It was Rita’s desire to donate her body to further the advancement of medical science and osteopathic medicine.
