BROWNVILLE – Robert Allen Ade, 60, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, March 5, 2008. He was born Nov. 10, 1947, in Passaic, N.J., beloved son of the late Harry and Victoria Ade. Bob lived and worked in New Jersey until 1978, when he moved to Maine to raise his family. He was a talented carpenter, chef and entrepreneur, who, throughout his lifetime, owned and operated several establishments with his brothers, including AJ’s, The Riversedge, The Heritage Motor Lodge, The Phenix Inn and The Pamola Motor Lodge. One of Bob’s proudest days occurred Aug. 12, 1972, when his son, Robert, was born. Bob loved music, sport fishing and cruising on his motorcycle. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a smile that could light up a room. He loved spending time with his family, and especially, his grandchildren. He is survived by his son, Robert Ade and his wife, Alyson; their children, to whom he was lovingly known as “Grampy Bob,” Ainsley and Ashton Ade of Milo; a brother and best friend, Harry G. Ade and his wife, Jean, of Brownville; a brother, Richard C. Ade and Lisa M. Grella, of Rye, N.H.; and a sister, Victoria Sciarello and her husband, Rich, of Lincoln Park, N.J. He was much loved “Uncle Bob” and sadly missed by his nieces, Victoria Kohut and her husband, Bill, of East Hopatcong, N.J., Chrissy Sciarello of Lincoln Park, N.J., and Kristen L. Ade of Portsmouth, N.H.; and his nephew, Richard J. Ade and his wife, Maria, of Bradenton, Fla. He will be dearly missed by longtime family friends, Arthur and Roland Hathorn. Graveside services will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations in his mem-ory to the American Heart Association, Piscataquis County Chapter, 51 U.S. Route 1, Suite M, Scarborough, ME 04074.
