SOMERSET, Pa. – Robert C. Harriman, 59, died Nov. 29, 2006, at Somerset Hospital, Somerset, Pa. Robert was born Oct. 30, 1947, in Bangor, the son of Raymond and Gladys (Stewart) Harriman. Robert was a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam, a member of the Maine National Guard, the VFW Post No. 1761, Bangor, and Somerset Woodcarvers Club at Laurel Arts. He was a painter by trade for 17 years, then drove the Bookmobile for the Somerset County Library. In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his first wife, Sherry Lynn Miller, in 1981. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Denise J. (Khorey); children, Robert C. Harriman II and wife, Gretchen (Neuhoff), of Jennerstown, Pa., Kimberly McKenzie and husband, Barry, Cathy Harriman, Analee Harriman, and Wendy Harriman, all of Somerset, Pa.; grandchildren, Brittany and Jordan Harriman, Brandan, Kody and Jerrett McKenzie; stepgranddaughter, Constance Hilliard; and sister, Beverly-Rae Babson of Whidbey Island, Wash. Friends will be received 7-9 p.m. Friday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, Pa., where funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, with the Rev. Fr. J. Mark Zimmerman officiating and military rites accorded by the Somerset County Honor Guard.
