PRESQUE ISLE – Robert D. McPherson, 76, died Jan. 26, 2005, at a Mars Hill healthcare facility. He was born April 18, 1928, in Blaine, the son of Allen and Helma (Bubar) McPherson. He was a member of the Grant Memorial United Methodist Church in Presque Isle. Bob owned and operated Country Club Farms in Presque Isle for more than 50 years and was well known throughout the Potato Industry. He was a 50 year plus member of Trinity Lodge No. 130 AF & AM, a member of Garfield Chapter No. 48, St. Aldemar Commandery No. 16, past president and member of the Aroostook Shrine Club and was a Greeter for the Anah Temple Shrine in Bangor. Bob enjoyed golfing, being with people and most of all spending time at his camp at Portage Lake. Surviving him is his wife, Vera (Bishop) McPherson of Presque Isle; a son and his wife, Ronald E. and Christine McPherson of Presque Isle; two daughters and their husbands, Daphine and Steven Michaud of Presque Isle and Donna and Gregory Loutsios of Chadsworth, Calif.; grandchildren, Missy, Anna, Caitlin, Alicia, Mindy and Robbie; great-grandchildren, Elijah, Brittany, Raeanna and Karleigh; a sister, Joan McHatten and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson, Jack Loutsios; and a sister, Lois Terrell. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, at the Grant Memorial United Methodist Church, 79 Fleetwood St., Presque Isle, with the Rev. Dr. Thomas Blackstone officiating, followed by a Masonic Memorial Service conducted by Officers and members of Trinity Lodge No. 130. Relatives and friends may call at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers please make donations in his memory to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 51 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114. Arrangements are in the care of the Duncan-Graves Funeral Home in Presque Isle.
