BANGOR – Robert G. “Bob” Dorr, 56, was taken home Jan. 8, 2005, at Belfast after a brief illness. He was born July 27, 1947, in Bangor, the son of Victor Dorr and Faith (McKusick) Dorr Day. Robert was a member of the Hammond Street Congregational Church, Bangor. He was predeceased by his stepfather, Arthur Day. He is survived his mother of Bangor; by two children, Robert G. Dorr Jr. and his wife, Michelle, of Holden and Barry D. Dorr and his wife, Heidi, of Hampden; five grandchildren, Robert III, Tiffany, Rochelle, Benjamin and Connor; his daughter-at-heart, Cheryl Jameson of Bangor; brothers and sisters and their families, Victor Dorr of Holden, Wayne Dorr of East Corinth, Byron Dorr of Lawrenceville, Ga., Arthur Dorr of East Corinth, Rodrick Day of Bangor, Bonnie Day of Frankfort, Doug Day of Glenburn, Neil Day of East Corinth, Rick Day of Bangor and Pam Day of Machias; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be remembered by many good friends especially, Greg, Mark, Donna Miller and Family, Teresa Madore and Family and his caregivers at CEDARS, Sonya Beal and Sharon Werner. A remembrance service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, 2005, at Hammond Street Congregational Church, Bangor with the Rev. Mark Doty, pastor, officiating. A reception will follow and spring burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor.
