CARIBOU – Robert G. Gray, 61, died unexpectedly March 19, 2007, at The Aroostook Medical Center, Presque Isle. He was born June 11, 1945, in Framingham, Mass., the son of Sidney and Theresa (Roach) Gray. Robert graduated from the University of Maine -Farmington. He taught for many years and finished his teaching career at Caravel Middle School, Carmel. He retired from teaching, and most recently drove taxi for Town Taxi of Caribou and Presque Isle. Robert was a diehard fan of the New England sports teams, especially the Red Socks, and always enjoyed and supported local sports. Robert was an avid golfer. He is survived by his father, Sidney Gray and his wife, Carol, of Newport; a daughter, Erin Peabody and her husband, Elliott, of Addison; a granddaughter, Emma Peabody of Addison; and a sister, Claire Latimore of West Sunbury, Pa. He was predeceased by a brother, James “Jimmy” Gray. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.
