CLIFTON and CLIFTON, N.J. Robert James Lydick, 5, a brave and loving boy, died March 31, 2007, at a Bangor hospital. He was born May 23, 2001, in Wayne, N.J., son of James L. and Bridget E. (Koch) Lydick. He and his family lived in Clifton, N.J., before moving to Clifton, August 2006, where he attended kindergarten at Eddington Elementary School. Robert was a member of the American Legion Post No. 109, East Rutherford, N.J.; he enjoyed playing with dinosaurs, riding his bicycle and was a fan of Jeff Gordon. Robert was a gentle, kind boy who shared his love daily. He is survived by his loving parents, James and Bridget Lydick; his sister, Gillian Lydick; and his dog, Cheba, all of Clifton; his maternal grandparents, Robert and Debra Koch of Clifton, N.J.; his paternal grand-father, Lyndon Lydick Sr. of Bucksport; many great-aunts, great-uncles, aunt, uncles, cousins and special friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Leah Lydick. Visitation for family and friends will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, at Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport, where a funeral service will be held noon Wednesday with Pastor Peter Remick officiating. Interment will be at Riverview Cemetery, Bucksport. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, Maine Affiliate, P.O. Box 346, Augusta, ME 04332.
