HAMPDEN – Robert Kyle Perkins, 15, of Hampden, died unexpectedly Oct. 23, 2005, in an automobile accident. He was born March 23, 1990, in Bangor, the son of Karen Joyce (Neill) and Jeffrey Alan Perkins. Kyle was a sophomore at Hampden Academy. He enjoyed kayaking, weight lifting and playing video games with his brother and friends. He is survived by his loving family, mother, Karen Joyce Neill, of Hampden; father, Jeffrey Alan Perkins of North Carolina; brother, Joseph Ryan Perkins of Hampden; maternal grandparents, Thomas and Adella Neill of Bangor; and paternal grandparents, Elmer Ray and Lois Perkins of Dayton, Ohio; uncles and aunts, Thomas and Kathy Neill, Stephen and Sherry Neill, David and Kelly Neill, David Perkins and Tony and Gail Perkins, numerous cousins and many loving friends. Visiting hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave. Hampden. A funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Friday at St. Matthews Catholic Church, 70 Western Ave., Hampden, with the Rev. Bob Vaillancourt, pastor of St. Matthews Catholic Church and the Rev. Dr. Deborah M. Jenks, pastor of the Hampden Congregational Church, officiating. Interment will be private at Lakeveiw Cemetery, Hampden.
