FORT FAIRFIELD – Robert L. Ellis, 69, died Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 14, 2005, at a Caribou healthcare facility, following a brief illness. He was born March 15, 1936, at Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of Henry and Elizabeth (Sullivan) Ellis. Robert was a graduate of the New London Connecticut High School and served in the U.S. Air Force. Robert had been employed by the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company for many years and had most recently been employed with the Hayden-Perry Insurance Company of Presque Isle and Washburn. He was a dedicated member of the Washburn Rotary Club where he had served as president. Robert enjoyed golf and cherished the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ellis was predeceased by one brother, Edward Ellis; and two sisters, May Beth Koza and Joan Erb. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Robert B. and Sharon Ellis of of Caribou; two daughters, Robin Ellis Busch and her husband, John, of New Canaan, Conn., K. Paige Ellis and her special friend, Kirk Killer, both of Portland; two brothers, James Ellis of Fair Lawn, N.J., Ron Ellis and his wife, Ginetta, of Hasbrouck Heights, N.J.; one sister, Linda Kitchin and her husband, Wayne, of Boynton Beach, Fla.; four grandchildren, Caitlin and Branden Ellis, both of Caribou, Jackson and Caroline Busch, both of New Canaan, Conn.; several neices and nephews. Robert will be dearly remembered by his special friend and companion, Charlene Jamer and her children, Michelle O’Keefe and her husband, Cass, Scott Jamer and his wife, Sherri and their children, Jayleigh and Jacob Jamer, all of Perth-Andover, N.B. Friends may call 7-9 p.m Sunday, Dec. 18, at the Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield. A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 19, at the United Parish Church, 4 Church St., Fort Fairfield, with the Rev. Diane Langworthy officiating. Spring interment will take place at the Tapley Cemetery, Blaine. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may contribute in memory of Mr. Ellis to the Jefferson Cary Foundation, P.O.
