ROBERT M. EWER BRADFORD and DOVER-FOXCROFT – Robert M. Ewer, 86, the husband of Norma (Stock-well) Ewer, died Aug. 5, 2008, after a long illness, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. He was born May 28, 1922, in Hudson, son of John and Agnes (Robbins) Ewer. He was an Army Airforce veteran of World War II and had worked most of his life as a woodsman. Surviving, in addition to his wife of Bradford, are four daughters, Anita Ewer of Old Town, Roxanne Estabrook and her husband, Clayton, of Alton, Sharon Carey and her husband, Leroy, of Zephyrhills, Fla., and Pamela Walton and her husband, Darrell, of Dover-Foxcroft; a stepson, George DeWitt and his wife, Brenda, of Auburn; a sister, Florence Honnell of Old Town; eight grandchildren and eight great-grand-children. Robert was predeceased by a son, Aaron; a grandson, Christopher Ewer; and four brothers, Joseph, John, Donald and Lawrence. Friends may call 1 p.m. Friday until time of funeral services 2 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth, with the Rev. Cynthia Nickerson officiating. Cremation will be in Bangor. The family wishes to invite relatives and friends to join them for a time of conversation and refreshments after the service at 275 West Old Town Road, Old Town.
