EVELYN E. KNIPPING CRYSTAL RIVER, Fla., and FRANKFORT – Evelyn Knipping, 80, of Crystal River, Fla., passed away Aug. 4, 2008, at her home. She was born Feb. 7, 1928, in North Bergen, N.J., to the late John and Gertrude Kazinci. She was a loving wife to Richard W. Knipping Sr. for 59 years. Evelyn and her husband have been winter residents of the Crystal River, Fla., area for many years, before they moved permanently from Frankfort two years ago. Evelyn graduated from Cliffside Park Senior High School, New Jersey, where she was a fine arts major. Her amazing gift of art became noticed at an early age. She attended Samuel B. Fleisher Memorial Art Foundation, Philadelphia, to study drawing and oil painting. She continued taking classes throughout her life in all mediums, but was primarily self taught. Her paintings have been exhibited throughout the country and have won many awards. They are a cherished legacy by her family. Evelyn was a devout member of St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church, Belfast, and St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, Crystal River, Fla. Evelyn loved her family, friends, art, books, gardening and her home in Downeast Maine. She was deeply loved by her family and will be missed very much. She is survived by her husband, Richard W. Knipping Sr. of Crystal River, Fla.; son, Richard W. Knipping Jr. and wife, Marlene, of Winterport; two daughters, Janet E. Clymer of Dunnellon, Fla., and Lisa A. Dwyer and husband, John J. Dwyer, of Beverly Hills, Fla.; two brothers, Richard D. Kazinci of Ringwood, N.J., and John R. Kazinci of Dumont, N.J.; and six grandchildren, Dr. Richard W. Knipping III of Mon-mouth, Joshua T. Knipping of Winterport, Daniel E. Clymer of Homosassa, Fla., Jeffrey S. Clymer of Odessa, Fla., John J. Dwyer V and Haley E. Dwyer of Beverly Hills, Fla. She was predeceased by one brother, Robert P. Kazinci of Saddlebrook, N.J.; and sister, Doris Baker of Simi Valley, Calif. Family and friends may visit 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden.
