GREENBUSH and MILLINOCKET – Robert W. “Bob” White, 53, passed away Friday, Nov. 10, 2006, surrounded by his family and friends at his home. Bob was born Sept. 19, 1953, in Millinocket, the son of Fred A. and Madeline N. (Patchell) White. He attended Millinocket schools and was a graduate of Stearns High School. Bob was a 30-year employee of Great Northern Paper, Millinocket, where he worked in the woodroom department and sulfite department. After the mill’s shutdown in 2002, Bob attended and graduated from Eastern Maine Community College with high honors, earning certification as an educational technician. He greatly enjoyed teaching math and working with the students at the Helen S. Dunn School, Greenbush. Bob was also a soccer coach at the school. An avid sportsman, he also took pleasure in hunting and fishing in the Maine outdoors. Bob is survived by his wife, Christine (Carroll) White of Greenbush; three brothers, Fred A. White Jr. of Millinocket, Stanley G. White and his wife, Meriam, of Millinocket and John White and his wife, Joan, of Hudson, N.H.; a sister, Linda Carr and her husband, Terry, of Windham, N.H.; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Sally Pasquine. Friends are invited to visit with the family 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Bouchard – Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday with Pastor Tom Obey officiating. Interment will be at the Millinocket Cemetery, Millinocket.
