LAMOINE – Robert Wayne Higgins, 63, died March 4, 2008, at his residence. He was born Dec. 31, 1944, in Ellsworth, the son of Weston R. and Wilda N. (Pomeroy) Higgins. Robert worked for Guilford Willey for many years. He enjoyed camping and going to the car races with his brother, William. He also enjoyed dancing at Jordan’s Snack Bar. He is survived by his mother of Lamoine; sisters, Sharon Davis, Lyle Crawford, both of Lamoine, Brenda Weidmyer of Wisconsin, Cheryl Higgins of Ellsworth and Debra Innes of Bar Harbor; brothers, William, Gary and Malcolm Higgins, all of Lamoine, Steven of Surry, Michael of New York and Richard Higgins of Bass Harbor; many nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by his father; sister, Gail; and brother, Raymond. Friends are invited to a service of remembrance 2 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at Robert’s home, 223 McQuinn Road, Lamoine.
