BANGOR and JACKMAN Robert Wilfred Paquet, 54, died peacefully Oct. 18, 2007, at a Bangor nursing home, after a long illness. He was born Nov. 3, 1952, in Greenville, the son of Lawrence Mathias Paquet and Fernande Marie Regina Roy of Jackman. Bobby attended Forest Hills High School, Jackman. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. He was a Vietnam veteran. Bobby was a free spirit who traveled the country, but returned back to Maine because that was his home. He made his residency in Bangor and lived with his brother, Larry. He was kind and loving, never wanting for much. He always kept in touch with his family and friends until his illness. Bobby strongly and quietly faced his challenges in life. Even to the end, he cared about your well being, and what you had been doing, but was ready to go home. Surviving are his mother, Fernande Roy; brothers, Larry, David and Wilfred; and sister, Charlene. We all love him very much and every day we will miss him. We know now that his journey here is done, but his journey home will be peaceful, warm and loving. A quiet memorial will be held for family members.
