PERRY – Roberta B. (Dudley) Knowlton, beloved wife of the late Lloyd F. Knowlton, passed away May 17, 2005, after a long illness at the Eastport Memorial Nursing Home in Eastport. She was born June 14, 1922, in Pembroke, the daughter of George and Bernice Dudley. After graduating from Pembroke High School, she worked at Knowlton’s Dairy in Perry, Guilford Industries in Eastport, Mearl Corporation in Eastport and retired from Knowlton’s Seashore Campground in 2000. She is survived by son, Guilford Larry Knowlton and wife, Jo Ann, of Boothbay; daughter, Diane (Knowlton) Olsen and husband, Gary Olsen, of Gorham; daughter, Kathleen Knowlton of Perry; son, John Knowlton and Terri Taylor of Perry; two grandsons; two granddaughters; four great-grandchildren and “Tom” the cat. Roberta loved her walks in the woods, where she would spend hours watching deer and other wildlife. She was a great cook and always had enough food for anyone that would come for visits. A graveside memorial service will be held 2 p.m. May 22, at the Dennysville Cemetery. Those who wish may send memorial contributions to the Eastport memorial Nursing Home in Eastport.
