PRESQUE ISLE – Robinson Kenneth “Rob” Loder, 32, died unexpectedly April 6, 2006, in Caribou. He was born Oct. 5, 1973, in Presque Isle, the son of Charlton W. and Jean-Alice (Robinson) Loder. He was a 1992 graduate of Presque Isle High School and a 1997 graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington with a bachelor of science degree in secondary education, language arts. After graduation he worked for M.S.A.D. No. 1 as an ed. tech. teaching computer science. In 1999, he became the head instructor at the Ann Arbor Quest Center in Ann Arbor, Mich. In 2000, he was employed as a software trainer at New Horizons and returned to Presque Isle in 2002. He was hired at ATX II Inc. in Caribou shortly thereafter and served as a project manager in the strategic services department. He was a first-degree black belt in To-Shin Do and a member of the Camarilla, an international role-playing organization. He loved his family, his friends, his work and a good hockey game. He was very special and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his parents, Chad and Jean Loder of Presque Isle; his aunt and uncle, Cory and Nancy Loder of North Egremont, Mass.; his cousins, Shelby Loder Grey and husband, Eric, of Dartmouth, Mass., Brooke Loder Faison and husband, Edward, of New Preston, Conn. Marine 1st. Lt. Kip Loder, deployed abroad, and Jordan Loder of San Diego, Calif. There will be a memorial service 3 p.m. Thursday, April 13, at the Grant Memorial United Methodist Church, Fleetwood Street, Presque Isle with the Rev. Dr. Thomas Blackstone and the Rev. Cory Loder officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mark and Emily Turner Memorial Library, 39 Second St., Presque Isle, ME 04769.
