BEDFORD, N.H. – Roger E. Brown, 80, died Nov. 9, 2004, at the Elliot Hospital after a period of declining health. He was born March 15, 1924, in Dexter, the son of Arthur and Mabel (Johnson) Brown. He served in the U.S. Army and fought in the European Theatre during World War II. Prior to retirement, he had been a portrait photographer and manager for Ramark-Varden Studios in Albany, N.Y. His wife, Lillian (Conover) Brown, died in May 2004. Members of his family include a son, Gregory Brown of Manchester, N.H.; a daughter, Heather Varkarotas of Las Vegas, Nev. In his life, he is also survived by six grandchildren, Stephanie, Matthew, Allyssa, Alexandra, Christopher and Nicholas; a sister-in-law, Adele Brown. A wake in Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., corner of North Street, will be Friday from 10:30-11a.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Mt.
