LINNEUS- Carl S. Sawyer Sr., 64, Linneus, died Nov. 9, 2004, at Masardis. He was born on Nov. 9, 1940, in Linneus, the son of Clyde and Bessie (McLean) Sawyer. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Bessie (Jipson) Sawyer of Linneus; four children, Arthur Jipson of Presque Isle, Carl “Bub” Sawyer Jr. and his wife, Cheryl, of Houlton, Belinda and her husband, Wayne Cofske of Georgetown, Mass.; Beth and her husband, Rob Moran, of Linneus; five grandchildren, Evan Gonya, Carla Sawyer, Melinda Moran, Ryan Sawyer and Steven Moran; one sister, Brenda Swimm of Houlton; one brother, Gary and his wife, Linda Sawyer, of Linneus; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friend, Norman and his wife, Karen Ginish. He was predeceased by four brothers, Harold, Hershel, Kenneth, and Paul; one sister Delores Russell. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday with the Rev. David Tuttle and Rev.
