LINCOLN – Roger E. Lawrence, 76, husband of Lillian (Brown) Lawrence, passed away July 2, 2008, at a Lincoln hospital. He was born April 3, 1932, in Valpariso, Ind., the son of Edwin and Clara (Berdine) Lawrence. Roger was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion. In addition to his wife, Lillian, he is survived by a son, William Roger Lawrence of Bangor; a daughter, Patricia Rollins of Kenduskeag; a brother, Paul Lawrence of Valpariso, Ind.; two sisters, Clarabelle Harveth and Joan Werner, both of Indiana; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. At Roger’s request, there will be no viewing. Friends and relatives are invited to a graveside service 10 a.m. Saturday at Lincoln Cemetery where the Rev. Cynthia Nickerson will officiate.
