DEER ISLE – Roger H. Robbins, 58, died Sept. 21, 2006, surrounded by his family at a local hospital after a brief illness. Roger was born March 16, 1948, in Deer Isle, the son of Gilmore and Bernice Robbins. Roger attended Deer Isle schools. He was a very hard worker; he enjoyed working on the water and in the woods beside his sons. Roger leaves behind his lovely wife of 38 years, Laurel Robbins; three children, Ricky and his wife, Angela, of Blue Hill, Lisa and her husband, Mike Reed, of Penobscot and Christopher Robbins of Deer Isle; four grandchildren, Joey, Ashlei, Jared and Jesse; six sisters, Jeanette, Janice, Margaret, Marsha, Julieanne and Carol; three brothers, Edgar, George and John; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Patricia; and one brother, Gilmore Jr. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday Sept. 25, at Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, Main Street, Stonington, with the Rev. Harry Vickerson officiating. Private family burial will be after at the family lot.
