EAGLE LAKE – Rolly “Tony” Saucier, 52, died accidentally Aug. 10, 2005, in Eagle Lake. He was born Sept. 10, 1952, the son of Edmond and Ruth (Palmer) Saucier. Tony was member of the American Legion Post 176 in Eagle Lake. He served in the U.S. Navy for several years. He was employed for 22 years as a stacker for Pinkham Lumber until 1997. Tony was an avid outdoorsman. He will be remembered as being a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend. He enjoyed the company of his family and friends, always smiling and more than willing to lend a helping hand to those who needed it. To Tony, Denny Pond was a very special place he held in his heart. He is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Linda (Berube) Saucier; his son, T.J. Saucier; daughter, Tisha Saucier, all of Eagle Lake; his mother Ruth (Palmer) Saucier of Eagle Lake; seven brothers and sisters, Lola Pelletier of Eagle Lake, Terry Dwyer of Nashua, N.H., Sharon Michaud of Eagle Lake, Janie Lausier of San Antonio, Texas, Donna Saucier, Bobby Saucier and Tim Saucier of Eagle Lake. He is also survived by his mother and father-in-law, Lester and Joan Berube, of Eagle Lake; brother-in-law, Mike Berube of Presque Isle; five sisters-in-law, Diana Saucier of Winterville Plantation, Mary Ann Hafford of Conn., Sharon Berube and Donna Pelletier, both of Eagle Lake, Cathy Pelletier of Soldier Pond; many nieces, nephews and special friends. There will be no viewing hours at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Eagle Lake with the Rev. Paul Labree officiating. Committal services with full military honors will follow in the parish cemetery. Those who wish, in Tony’s memory, may donate to the American Legion Post No. 176, P.O. 306, Eagle Lake, ME 04739. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Arrangements are being conducted by the Daigle and Nadeau Funeral Home in Fort Kent.
