SKOWHEGAN – Ronald L. Faulkingham, 84, of Skowhegan and Beals Island, went home to be with the Lord, Jesus Christ April 24, 2008. He was born June 2, 1923, in Jonesport, son of William and Lena (Merchant) Faulkingham. He was a lifelong lobster fisherman on Beals Island. After moving to Skowhegan, he worked at Norwock Shoe and New Balance as maintenance person. He attended Nazerene Church, Skowhegan. He enjoyed his cat, Buttercup, listening to music and being with his family. Ronald is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Madelyn and Clifford Chandler Jr. of Skowhegan; one son, Osmond Faulkingham of New Jersey; ex-daughter-in-law, Nancy (Lewis) Faulkingham of New Jersey; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Bambi and Troy Kitchin of Skowhegan; grandson, Christopher Faulkingham and friend, Amber, of New Jersey; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Cynthia and Tim Eisenhower of Florida; grandson, Cory Faulkingham and wife of New Jersey; great-granddaughter, Tanisha Pauline Kitchin of Skowhegan; great-grandson, Timothy Eisenhower of Florida; great-granddaughter, Kamie Eisenhower of Florida; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Mariner and Donnna Bunker of Beals, and Ronald and Alberna Bunker of Belfast; nieces, nephews and many friends; and a special friend from senior companions, Ed Morrisery. He was predeceased by his first wife, Hazel Faulkingham; his second wife, Kathleen Alley Faulkingham; his mother-in-law, Prudence Bunker; adoptive parents, James and Louisa Beal; brothers, Grover, John and Albert Faulkingham; and a sister, Betty Wright. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, April 27, at Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, April 28, at the funeral home with internment after at Sewald Field Cemetery, Beals Island.
