GOULDSBORO – Ronald L. MacGregor, 70, died Sunday, June 3, 2007, at a Milbridge health care facility. He was born July 21, 1936, in Eastport, the son of the late Malcolm and Dorothy (Spinney) MacGregor. Ronnie was a lobster boat builder in his earlier years and was a pound keeper for a great many years. Ronnie was a lifelong commercial lobsterman fishing the Atlantic waters off the coast of Maine for more than 50 years. He enjoyed being on the water. He enjoyed skeet shooting, was an accomplished karate enthusiast and an avid water skier. He also hunted and fished with his boys. Family members include his 24 year companion, Bonnie (Norton) Wilbur of Gouldsboro; a son, Ted MacGregor and his wife, Joy, of Gouldsboro; two grandchildren, Shannon and Gabe MacGregor, both of Bar Harbor; two great-grandchildren, Bryce and Azria, both of Bar Harbor; a sister, Marilyn Rieff and husband, Ronnie, of Florida and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a son, Kirk B. MacGregor in 1976. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 16, at Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, 47 Main St., Milbridge with Charles Kelley officiating. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Burial will be held after at Lakeview Cemetery, Gouldsboro.
