OXFORD – Ronald R. Trimm, 81, died Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at Step-hens Memorial Hospital, Nor-way. He was born June 18, 1925, in LaGrange, the son of Henry and Hazel Trimm. He attended schools in Old Town. He was a lumberman for local lumberyards; worked construction, building bridges in Portland and South Portland; and worked for Poland Spring Water Co., doing maintenance and snow removal, until his retirement in 1987. He was a member of the VFW in Norway and Paris. He enjoyed making wooden baskets and wishing wells. He loved boxing. He faithfully served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He is survived by stepdaughters, Joanne West of Norway, Yvonne Simoneau and Christine Davis, both of South Paris; stepson, Joseph Baker of Oxford; granddaughters, Kathy McLaughlin, Penny Piirainen and Debbie Kasovitch; grandsons, Tony Mc-Laughlin, Mike McLaughlin, Dean Strout, Scott Strout, Randy Rugg, David Rugg, Ed Piirainen, Steven Piirainen, Troy Piirainen, Roy Slwik, Robert Linnie and George Linnie; two brothers, Carroll Trimm of Bradley and Kenneth Trimm of Nashua, N.H.; and one sister, Ardith Mellamore of Florida. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen Baker Trimm, whom he married in 1964; two granddaughters, Pamela Piirainen and Trina Piirainen; four brothers, Gerald, Paul, Clarence and Phillip Trimm; and one sister, Maxine Trimm. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, April 16, at Weston-Chandler Funeral Home, 230 Main St., Norway, with spring interment at Norway Pine Grove Cemetery, South Paris.
