OAKFIELD – Ronald “Ron” Boutilier, 84, of Oakfield, died Feb. 7, 2006, in Houlton. He was born March 22, 1921, in Oakfield, a son of William and Vera (Shorey) Boutilier. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Air Corp. He was a member of the Frank B. Holden post No. 52 American Legion of Oakfield and the Smoki Haulers snowmobile club. Ron enjoyed bowling, four wheeling, snowmobiling and looking for moose. He is survived by two daughters, Anne and her husband, Jim Odgers, of Island Falls, Brenda and her husband, Arnold Farrar, of Dyer Brook; grandchildren, Jennifer Hersey and fiance, Kirk Cleveland, of Barton, Vt., Nathan Hersey and his wife, Michelle, of Exeter, and Lisa and Larkin Odgers of Pawcatuck, Conn., Foss Odgers and his wife, Nicole, of Fairbanks, Alaska; great-grandchildren, Morgan Odgers of Connecticut and Turner Odgers of Alaska; two brothers, Clyde of Dyer Brook and Bill of Smyrna; several nieces and nephews, a special niece, Karen Watson; and a special nephew, Ronald Frank Bragg. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen “Snook” Boutilier in 2005; and brothers, Kenneth, Frank, Earl and Todd; sisters, Helen and Minnie. Friends may call 2-3 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, at the Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls and a graveside funeral service will be held in the spring at the Oakfield Cemetery.
