MADAWASKA – Rosaire E. Pelletier, 76, passed away Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, at his home, after a long fight with cancer. He was born Sept. 14, 1931, in Frenchville, the son of Eddie and Marie (Cyr) Pelletier. Rosaire served in the U.S. Army and was a lifelong legionaire. He was a potato farmer, carpenter and businessman. He built, owned and operated the Mini Store, Fox Theatre, Skylite Drive-In and Modern Apartments, all in Madawaska. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lorraine Chasse of Madawaska; three children, Sharon wife of Philip (Cook) Guerrette of Madawaska, Gary and his wife, Donna (Lee) Pelletier, of Madawaska, Gail and her husband, Keith Nadeau, of Sweden; eight grandchildren, Jayme Pelletier of Scarborough, Austin and Evan of Mad-awaska, Elyse, Haley and Tyler Nadeau of Sweden, Brittany and Lory Guerrette of Madawaska; six sisters and four brothers, Camille and his wife, Margaret Pelletier, of East Hartford, Conn., Lionel and his wife, Georgette Pelletier, of Andover, Conn., Roland and his wife, Terry Pelletier, of Frenchville, Theresa and her husband, Alcide Lavoie, of West Hartford, Conn., Cecile (Pelletier) Mulherin of Machester, Conn., Prescille and her husband, Richard Fortin, of Windsor Locks, Conn., Rita Pelletier of Bristol, Conn., Marie Rose and her husband, Edward Boulay, of Vermont, Irene (Pelletier) Bouchard of Madawaska. He was predeceased by two brothers and sister, George, Adeline, Claude and Lucille (Pelletier) Pare. Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Madawaska. Friends and family may pay their respects 9 a.m. until time of service at the church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
