VAN BUREN – Rosaire Grivois, 76, died March 3, 2004, at a Madawaska healthcare facility. He was born April 13, 1927, in Van Buren, the son of Fred and Alice (Thibodeau) Grivois. Rosaire was employed as a painter for most of his working life. He is survived by one daughter, Gloria Swarek and her husband, John, of Pittsburgh, Pa.; three sons, James Grivois and his wife, Gaetane, of Van Buren, Wallace Grivois and his wife, Susan, of Long Lake, Reynold Grivois and his companion, Theresa Wilson, of Hamlin; four sisters, Constance Fortin and Madeline Desjardins, both of Van Buren; Jeannine Desjardins of Arizona and Doris Ouellette of Connecticut; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Candide (Paradis) Grivois on Jan. 6, 2004; and by one son, Armand Grivois in 1983. Relatives and friends may call 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until time of service on Saturday at the Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 12 High St., Van Buren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at the St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Spring interment will be in the parish cemetery.
