SOUTHINGTON, Conn. Rosalyn A. (Hayes) Carr, 71, of Southington Conn., wife of the late Justin T. Carr, passed into the arms of the heavenly father April 15, 2004, after a long fight with heart disease. A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, she will be most remembered as being a strong, loving, giving, and unselfish person who enjoyed doing handmade crafts. Born in Stacyville, she has lived in Connecticut since 1967. She is survived by her two daughters and their families, Tina Hayes, and her husband, Jeff, and their son, Joshua of Southington Conn.; Jennifer Carr, her fianc‚, John Weeks, and their unborn son of Springfield, Mass.; three sisters and their spouses, Annabelle and Dennis Gallagher of Sherman, Georgie and Lance Wheaton of Forest City, Ellen and Will Hamilton of Standish; three brothers, Roger Hayes and his wife, Nancy, of Stacyville, Richard Hayes and his wife, Barbara, of Stacyville, and Marvin Hayes of Monticello; four sisters-in-law, Carol Hayes of Southington Conn., Betty Hayes of Millinocket, Cassandra Harmon of Vero Beach, Fla., and Vicki Hayes of Southington, Conn.; 29 nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her late husband, she was predeceased by an infant daughter, Eleanor Jean; parents, George and Leola (Allen) Hayes; her brothers, Pearl, Albert and Merle Hayes; and a special friend, Alvin Trumbull. Calling hours for family and friends will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 19, at Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev.
