MILLINOCKET – Louis D. Civiello, 85, died peacefully at home April 17, 2004. He was born May 27, 1918, in Millinocket, the son of Dennis and Camilla (Primiano) Civiello. Louis was a U.S. Army veteran and served during World War II in England, Belgium and France. He was a member of Francis E. Elliot Post No. 4154, VFW. Louis was a communicant of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council No. 680. He was employed by Great Northern Paper Co. in Millinocket for many years, retiring in 1981. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Madeline (Levasseur) Civiello of Millinocket; his children, Jean and husband, Phil Hasse of Sierra Vista, Ariz., John and wife, Kathleen, of Millinocket, Dennis of Richmond, Louis and wife, Lisa, of Millinocket; six grandchildren, Shannon and Molly Hasse, Gabriel, Andrea, Lindsey and Leah Civiello; four brothers, Joseph and wife, Mary Civiello of Florida, Frank and wife, Mary Civiello, of East Millinocket, Charles and wife, Rosemary, of Bangor, and Father John Civiello of Portland; three sisters, Mary Thompson of Connecticut, Anne and husband, Maurice Ouellette, of Auburn, and Lillian and husband, Ralph Bolduc, of Portland; also several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Michael; and three sisters, Anita Kelly, Pauline Rush and Frances Rush. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, at the R.L. Bouchard Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket. Officers and members of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Knights of Columbus will conduct a prayer service 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church. Burial will be in Millinocket Cemetery.
