PLYMOUTH – Colleen Marie King, 20, passed on to her heavenly home April 17, 2004, in Pittsfield. She was born May 31, 1983, in Bangor, the beloved daughter of Jacquelyn (Eaton) King and Robert King of Plymouth. Colleen attended schools in Newport, and was a graduate of Nokomis Regional High School, Class of 2001. At the time of her death Colleen was employed as a cook at the Newport Big Stop Restaurant. Colleen is survived by her parents of Plymouth; two brothers, Matthew Wilson of Plymouth and his friend, Jen Dow, of Hampden, Shawn King and his wife, Bridget, of Courtland Manor, N.Y.; one sister, Kassie King of Newport; maternal grandparents, Maynard and Shirley Eaton of Exeter; paternal grandmother, Emily King of Central Village, Conn.; a very special nephew, Bradley Wilson of Plymouth; and a special cousin, Sarah Downing of Plymouth; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Colleen will also be remembered and missed by many friends and co-workers. Her mother hopes that the following verse will help ease the grief for all who mourn her passing. “When tomorrow starts without me, and I’m not here to see. If the sun should rise and find your eyes all filled with tears for me. I wish so much you wouldn’t cry the way you did that day, while thinking of the many things we didn’t get to say. I know how much you love me as much as I love you and each time that you think of me I know you’ll miss me too. But when tomorrow starts without me please try to understand that an angel came and called my name and took me by the hand, and said my place is ready in heaven far above, and that I’ll have to leave behind all those I dearly love. But as I turn to walk away a tear fell from my eye, for all of life I’d always thought I didn’t want to die. I had too much to live for so much yet to do, it seems almost impossible that I was leaving you. So when tomorrow starts without me, don’t think we’re far apart. For every time you think of me, I’m right here in your heart.” author unknown. Private visitation for the family will be from 10-12 Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at the Brown Funeral Home, 34 High St., Newport. Public graveside services will follow at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Chamberlain Cemetery, Chamberlain Meeting House Road, Exeter.
