PRESQUE ISLE – Rose Marie Angela (LaChance) Lovely, 91, died Wednesday morning, June 27, 2007, at a Presque Isle health care facility. She was born Nov. 13, 1915, in Frenchville, the daughter of Denis and Meddie (Chasse) LaChance. She married Ransford Lovely, May 27, 1936, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Pres-que Isle. They were married 69 years. Ransford died in 2004. Rose is survived by six children, Janet Milian of Garden City, Mich., Ronald G. Lovely and special friend, Lou Manca, of Gardner, Mass., Doreen G. Washington of Plymouth, Mich., Ernest R. Lovely Sr. and his wife, Patricia, of Presque Isle, Sandra J. Pelz and her husband, Edward Jr., of Martin, Ohio, and Ransford S. Lovely Jr. of Berlin, N.H.; a sister, Marie Blanche Larrive of New Bedford, Mass., who is 102 years old. Rose went to New Bedford, Mass. to help celebrate Aunt Blanche’s 100th birthday, which was a gathering of more than 60 people. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grand-children, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband; five sisters, Leona Kennedy, Gertrude LaChance, Cora Peed, Ernestine Ouellette, and Cloe Bouchard. The family thanks all her friends and new family from Leisure Gardens, special caregivers from the Presque Isle hospital, all the various nursing facilities in the area for all the support during her illness. A special thank you to Dr. Jones, all the doctors and nurses at The Aroostook Medical Center, social services nurses and staff at the Presque Isle nursing home for the years of special care given to mom. Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Friday, June 29, at Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle, with the Rev. Raymond Morency officiating.
