BATH – Frieda Medeiros, 82, of Drummond Point, died Wednesday, June 27, 2007, at a Brunswick hospital. She was born July 9, 1924, in Bath, a daughter of Andrew Victor and Gertrude (Constain) McAllister. She attended Bath schools and graduated from Morse High School, Class of 1942, and she married Chris E. Medeiros. She was employed at Bath Iron Works during World War II, then at Bath Memorial Hospital. She was employed for the Bath Police Department for approximately 20 years and the Bath Cemetery Department for three years. Frieda’s life centered around her home, family and her love for cats. She was predeceased by her husband, Chris E. Medeiros Sr., Nov. 18, 1976; one brother, Stewart McAllister; and four sisters, Katherine Dougherty, “Sis” Knight, Adeline Flemming, and Mary Merry. She is survived by two sons, Andrew Medeiros of Bath, and Chris Medeiros and his wife, Jackie, of Richmond; one daughter, Elaine Larson and her husband, Gary, of Dover Foxcroft; one sister, Ruth G. Robinson of Freeport; five grandchildren, Kipp Larson, Dr. Kelly Larson-Brunner, Kristina Burns, Devon Medeiros, and Benjamin Medeiros; five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Monday at Mayo, Curtis & Hill Funeral Home, 819 High St., Bath. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Bath. A gathering of family and friends will be at the family residence on Drummond Point. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Coastal Humane Society, 30 Range Road, Brunswick, ME 04011.
