MILWAUKEE – Rose Marie Sock, 46, formerly of Mars Hill, died April 18, 2008, in Milwaukee, after an extended illness. She was born Aug. 24, 1961, in Skowhegan, the daughter of Newell and Mary (Sockabasin) Sock. She is survived by two sons, Jeff Sock of Fort Fairfield and Jeremiah Sock of Warren; a daughter, Jennifer Sock of Presque Isle; four sisters, Diane Devoe of Wisconsin, Libby Fox of Caribou, Bessie Tinker of Princeton and Paula Paul of Kingsclear, New Brunswick; two brothers, Clifford Devoe of Princeton and Charles Ray Devoe of Texas; a granddaughter, Neveah Sock of Presque Isle; a lifelong friend, Jeffrey Zernicke and his mother, Elizabeth Zernicke, of Presque Isle; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Lewis Devoe and Alfred Devoe; and sisters, Annette Devoe and Anne Sock. Relatives and friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday at Duncan Funeral Home, 8 Main St., Mars Hill. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Mars Hill, with the Rev. Raymond Morency officiating. Interment will be at a later date.
