PRESQUE ISLE – Rose “Midge” E. Lilly, 76, died Saturday afternoon, July 30, 2005, at a Mars Hill healthcare facility. She was born Aug. 8, 1928, at Castle Hill, the daughter of John and Hazel (York) Argraves. She worked for a number of years at Aroostook Shoe, Converse Rubber Co., Potato Service Inc., and Taterstate Foods. She was member of the Advent Christian Church in Castle Hill, and the Church of Jesus in Presque Isle. She was faithful and generous supporter of a starving children organization in Haiti. Rose is survived by a daughter, Robin Lilly of Perham; six brothers, Gerald , Milford “Mickey”, Ronald, Dale Argraves, all of Castle Hill, Robert “Bobby” of Fort Fairfield, and Eugene Argraves of Manchester, Conn.; four sisters, Crystal L. Grice of Albany, Ore., Harriett Singh, Sandra Fettig, both of East Hartford, Conn. and Roberta Roy of Middletown, Conn.; three grandchildren; one great- grandchild; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her former husband, Robert Lilly in July 2004, two sons, Colin Lilly in February 2005, and Kendall J. Lilly; a daughter, Colleen Abbott. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, with Pastor Earl Durost and the Rev. George Mclaughlin officiating. Relatives and friends may call 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Riverside Extension Cemetery, Washburn.
