HOLDEN – Rose-Anne M. Blake, 66, of Holden passed away after a long illness Sept. 29, 2004. She was born March 15, 1938, in Hermon, and predeceased in death by her parents, Martell Woodrow and Frances Elizabeth (Harris) McPheters. Rose-Anne is survived by her husband of 42 years, Duane Blake of Holden; daughters, Denise and her husband, Quentin Memmelaar, Debra and her husband, Robert Burke, all of North Carolina; a son, David and his wife, Rose Blake, of Brewer; brothers, Kenneth and his wife, Amanda Eldridge, of Wyoming, Mark and his wife, Terri Eldridge, of Brewer; sisters, Verna Eldridge of Old Town, Lynn and her husband, Patrick MacGregor, of Levant; her mother-in-law, Evelyn Blake of Brewer; stepfather, Kenneth Eldridge of Florida; grandchildren, Tara Memmelaar, Joseph and his wife, Kim Memmelaar, all of North Carolina, Lee and Eric Burke of Bangor, Jeremy and Jeffrey Stroud of North Carolina; a great-grandson, Tyler Burke of Bangor, five nieces and nephews. Rose-Anne served in the U.S. Navy from 1956-1962 and retired from Neurology Associates of Bangor in 2000. She was an avid beano player and her favorite place to play was the Conservation Club in Brewer. A private family visitation will be held Sunday afternoon at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 4, at the Clewleyville Cemetery, Holden with the Rev. Grace Bartlett pastor of the Grace United Methodist Church of Bangor officiating.
