JONESBORO – Rosie M. (Bagley) Tucker, 89, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Dec. 23, 2005, after an extended illness. She was born Nov. 12, 1916, in Centervillle, the daughter of the late Milton and Minnie (Hartford) Bagley. She worked as a teacher’s aide in the Jonesboro school system for a number of years. Rosie also worked for Washington County Senior Citizen Program. She was a member of the Jonesboro Union Church, as well as being superintendent of the Sunday school for more than 30 years, and president for a number of years in the church auxiliary. She also held offices in the Jonesboro Grange No. 357. Rosie was an avid seamstress and would knit mittens that she would donate to help various children’s organizations and made quilts to raise money to build the Chandler River Community Center. Rosie’s family and church family meant the world to her. She was “Grammie Rosie” to everyone and the Sunday school children were a great joy to her. At the age of 75, Rosie received her high school diploma the same year as her grandson, Clifton A. Reynolds, in 1991. She was predeceased by her husband, Elmo C. Tucker; brothers, Willard, James and Theodore Bagley; and sisters, Laura (Bagley) Worcester and Leona (Bagley) Melanson. She is survived by daughters, Charlotte Dilworth and husband, John, of Jonesboro, Priscilla Hall and husband, Everard, of Milbridge and Brenda Sue Tucker of Jonesport; brother, Abraham Bagley and wife, Carol, of Morrill; grandchildren, Benita Gaddis, and husband, Tom, Lenita Smith and husband, Burton, Angella Moser, Clifton Reynolds and wife, Casey and Amy Hall; great-grandchildren, Kristina Capps and husband, Thom, Holly Dougan and husband, Erik, Michelle Neron and husband, Tony, Charlene, Krystle, and Samuel Gaddis, Clifton Moser, and Crystalline, Connor and Ethan Reynolds; great-great-grandchildren, Morgan and Gabriella Morse, Elisha Neron and Kaiden Gaddis; many nieces and nephews; special extended family members, John and Laura Alley and their families; a very special angel friend, Hillary Pineo and road running buddy, Evelyn Snowdeal, the “Bunko Babes”; and special friends, Herb and Linda Smith. A celebration of her life will take place on her 90th birthday Nov. 12, 2006, at the Jonesboro Union Church followed by a reception at the Chandler River Community Center. A time will be announced at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, Machias.
