ROSELAND, N.J. – Roy V. Shorey Jr., 72, formerly of Madison, N.J. died May 10, 2004, after a strong fight with cancer. Mr. Shorey enjoyed golf and fishing as well as spending time with his family at their summer home on China Lake. He is survived by his sons, Steven Shorey of North Haven, Conn. and Kenneth Shorey of Severn, Md.; his daughters, Jeanne Paquette of North Yarmouth and Susan Dorval of China; a stepdaughter, Andrea Moscagiuiri of Belleville, N.J.; a sister, Eleanor Harris of Marlboro, Mass.; as well as five grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2004, at the Restland Memorial Park Chapel, 77 DeForest Ave., East Hanover, N.J., with a second memorial service to be held Aug. 21, 2004, at the China Baptist Church, China, Maine. Local arrangements were handled through the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, Livingston, N.J. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name to the Atlantic Home Care and Hospice, 33 Bleeker St., Millburn, N.J. 07041, would be greatly appreciated.
