EL PASO, Texas – Mr. Royden E. Daigle Jr., 82, died Friday, July 9, 2004. Born in Bangor, he was the son of the late Royden and Christine Daigle. He is survived by his wife, Sunny; his sons, Michael Daigle, Bruce Daigle, and Stephen and Barbara Daigle; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by his brothers, John Warren Daigle, Robert Daigle, Karl Daigle; sisters, Shirley Meade, Joanne Roberts and Ruth Paulette. Mr. Daigle retired as a Major from the U.S. Army after 27 years faithful service. He served during World War II, in the European Theatre. He received many awards including the Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts. He also served during the Korean War. After retiring from the U.S. Army, he worked as a civil servant for the next 20 years. He retired from civil service at Fort Bliss Army Base in Texas as a Safety Director. A military funeral will be held in El Paso, Texas, at the Northeast Funeral Home.
