INDIAN TOWNSHIP – Russell James Fitch, 44, died unexpectedly July 6, 2005. Russell was born Jan. 6, 1961, in Calais. He is survived by his three loving daughters, whom he held very dear to his heart, Jasmine, 17 years old, Autumn, 15 years old, and Savannah Fitch, 12 years old, all of Indian Township; his three sisters, Dawn Dow and her husband, Robert, of Milbridge, Linda Lola and her husband, Wade, of Indian Township, and Martha Foster and her husband, Mark, of Lake Placid, N.Y.; grandmother, Thelma Lank of Eastport; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his mom, Phyllis Saunders; his father, Donald Fitch; and his dad, Elmer Lank. Russell’s happiest times were when he was fly fishing, hunting and fishing with all three daughters and also night crawling with his daughter, Jasmine and his niece, Stacey. He also enjoyed when he was a Game Warden for Indian Township and being a licensed diver. Friends may call Saturday, July 9, until Monday 9 a.m. at his mother’s home, 24 Raven Rd., Indian Township. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. at St. Anne’s Mission, Peter Dana Point with the Rev. Frank Morin, celebrant. Burial will follow in the Tribal Cemetery.
