SEAL COVE – Russell “Rusty” Lawrence Suter, 59, died Jan. 28, 2007, at Mount Desert Island Hospital. He was born Dec. 9, 1947, in Passaic, N.J., the son of Joseph Russell and Julie (Wynalda) Suter. He grew up in Wayne, N.J., and moved to Mount Desert Island in 1986. Russ enjoyed his family, boating, his dogs, Claire and Puck, going to camp and University of Maine hockey. Russ was a member of the American Legion, Trenton, and a volunteer on the Somesville Fire Department. He is survived by his parents, J. Russell and Julie Suter of Cape May, N.J.; his beloved wife, Deborah Suter of Seal Cove; three sons, Justin Gray of Seal Cove, Nicholas Cirello and Michael Cirello, both of Arizona; his brother, Kenneth Suter and wife, Donna, of Wayne, N.J.; his sister, Ellen Paddock and husband, Richard, of Bradenton, Fla. He was “Gampie” to one granddaughter, Kaya Marie, who loved to ride on his tracta; several nieces and nephews, Kenneth McGoldick and wife, Ronni, Kimberly Easley and husband, Joel, Jason Suter and wife, Katie, Christina Chaar and husband, Sam. Friends are invited to call 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, at Jordan-Fernald, 48 Eden St., Bar Harbor. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Bar Harbor, with Fr. John O’Hara presiding. Immediately after Mass, interment will be at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Bar Harbor, then with fellowship at Holy Redeemer.
