SEARSPORT – Ruth C. Ashey, 61, died March 31, 2005, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Sept. 20, 1943, in Belfast, the daughter of Robert and Marion (Curtis) Clark. She graduated from Searsport High School. Ruth enjoyed Christmas Eve, Thanksgiving, and camping with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by the love of her life for the past 43 years, her husband, Joseph R. Ashey of Searsport; three children, ravis Ashey and his wife, Kim, of Searsport, Chad Ashey and his special friend, Connie, of Frankfort, Vickie Ashey and her special friend, John, of Searsport; five grandchildren, Mindy, Caleb, Joshua, Casey, and Libbie; one aunt, Etta Curtis of Searsport; six sisters and brothers, Joan Seekins and her husband, Paul, of Florida, Faye Webster of Searsport, Larry Clark and his wife, Nancy, of Searsport, Charles Clark and his wife, Linda, of Monroe, Rita Dakin and special friend, Bill Ward, of South Carolina, and Robert Seekins and his wife, Shirley, of Searsport; five sisters and brothers-in-laws, Jerry Smith and her husband, Tink, of Stockton Springs, Sylvia Woods and her husband, Gary, of Belfast, Becky Smith and her husband, George, of Stockton Springs, Edgar Ashey and his wife, Cheryl, of Searsport, and Minnie Payson and her husband, Lauren, of Belfast;several nieces, nephews, and many special friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Marion Clark; grandmother, Janie Curtis; and three brother-in-laws, Alfred Ashey, Frank Ashey, and Ralph Webster. At Mrs. Ashey request, there will be no services. Arrangements by the Young Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 31 West Main St. Searsport.
