MARCO ISLAND, Fla. – Ruth E. (Gibson) Osborne, 90, formerly of Weymouth, Mass., died Dec. 18, 2006, at the Hospice of Naples, Naples, Fla. She was born in East Millinocket and lived most of her life in Weymouth, Mass., before moving to Naples, Fla. She was a retired sales clerk for the former Remick’s, R.H. Stearns and Milton’s, all in Quincy, Mass. She was known for working in the Boy Scouts Department of Remick’s and Milton’s. She was the beloved wife of the late Wilfred W. Osborne; devoted mother of Warren Osborne of Braintree, Mass., Sara-Jane Osborne of Marco Island, Fla., and the late David Osborne; sister of Louise Quimby of Connecticut and the late Arthur Gibson and George Gibson. She is also survived by four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends invited to a memorial service 11 a.m. Wednesday at East Weymouth McDonald Funeral Home, 3 Charles St., corner of Middle and Charles Street. Visiting hour 10-11 a.m. Wednesday morning prior to memorial service. Interment at Lakeview Cemetery, Weymouth, Mass.
