BANGOR – Ruth E. Mishou, 88, wife of the late Lawrence E. Mishou, died Feb. 13, 2007, surrounded by her loving family at a local hospital. She was born Sept. 18, 1918, in East Hampden, the daughter of Ralph and Agnes (Valley) Russell. Ruth was a lifelong member of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church. She is survived by two sons and their wives, Ralph Edward Mishou and Shirleyann of Orrington, Larry Mishou and Anya of California; two daughters, Sharon and her husband, Donald Miller of Pennsylvania, Linda French of Bangor; two sisters, Betty Nadeau of Brewer, Catherine and her husband, Bob Denny, of Illinois; a special sister-in-law, Tutor Russell of California; 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two daughters, Catherine Lloyd and Karen Ruth; grandson, Robert French; granddaughter, Kathy Ann Fox; three brothers, Robert and his wife, Helen Russell, Paul Russell and Edward Russell; and her sister, Mary Dixon. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 16, at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, Ohio Street, Bangor, with the Rev. Thomas Lequin, pastor, presider.
