BANGOR – Ruth E. (Tenney) Beatham, 92, wife of the late Earl N. Beatham, died Dec. 13, 2007, at her home. She was born Aug. 20, 1915, in Dixmont, the daughter of Frank and Hazel (Cleaves) Tenney. Ruth is survived by her daughter and husband, Frances and Allen Costigan of New Mexico; a son and his wife, Robert E. Beatham and Alice Victoria of Bangor; three grandsons, Scott Costigan and his wife, Lori, Robert E. Beatham Jr., and Kevin M. Beatham; two great-grand-daughters, Ryleigh Costigan and Rhiannon Costigan; three sisters, Edith Gray of Fryeburg, Alice Traylor of Cincinnati and Marjorie Welton of Bangor; two brothers, Herbert Tenney and his wife, Margaret, of Hampden, and Fred Tenney and his wife, Evelyn, of Biddeford; two sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Tenney and Joan Tenney, both of Hampden; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Lottie Mae Tenney; and four brothers, G. Elton Tenney, Charles Tenney, Albert Tenney and John Tenney. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Dr. Jerry Mick, pastor of Bangor Baptist Church, officiating. Friends may call 10 a.m. until time of the service. Private interment for the family will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor.
