HUDSON, Fla. – Ruth F. Getchell passed away Jan. 31, 2008, in New Port Richey, Fla. She was born April 9, 1931, at Milford, the daughter of Marion and Charlie Tweedie, and attended school in Bangor. She is survived by daughters, Marylou McDonald, and Marion Knott and husband, Tony; son, Carl Briggs; brothers, Charlie and Clarence Tweedie and their wives, Linda and Cora; granddaughters, Heather McDonald, Lauren and Madalyn Knott and Shannon Briggs; much loved nieces and nephews; and special friends, Marilyn Clair, Layne Peet and Dianne Knott. Services will be held 1 p.m. June 11 at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor.
