EAST HARTFORD, CONN. – Ruth I. O’Keefe, 85, wife of John J. O’Keefe died Sunday, Oct. 17, 2004. Born in Winter Harbor, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Lola (Hancock) Myrick. She retired from Phoenix Insurance Company, Hartford, Conn. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a nephew, Richard Gerrish; and a niece, Barbara Lilly, both of Winter Harbor; her sister-in-law, Marjorie O’Keefe of East Hartford, Conn. and her children, Gary O’Keefe and Eileen O’Keefe. She was predeceased by her brother, Arland Myrick; and sister, Alta Gerrish. A funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2004, at the Callahan Funeral Home, 1602 Main St., East Hartford. Burial will follow in Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford.
